Hammers and Finchampstead Athletic could not be separated as the
two sides netted a goal a piece to play out a very even 1-1 draw.
Neal Robinson scored for Woodley with Ashley Henry replying for
Finch.
Athletico
Priestwood were outplayed by a better performing FC Diligent side
which saw the away side take all 3 points in a 2-0 victory. Sam
Walters and Ryan Briggs scored the goals for Diligent.
1st
Division
Rides
United went to town today and reaped the rewards of a blistering
opening half hour against The Metropolitan. Kylo Atkinson netted
twice in quick succession, once direct from a corner and the 2nd
from a 30 yard lob, to give Rides a 2-0 lead. Sean King then hit
a hat trick to set up a 5-0 lead before the break. Mo Zagbani, George
Partridge and Kylo Atkinson, completing his hat trick, all scored
in the 2nd half to finish the match 8-0.
Winkfield
Sports shot into a 2-0 lead against FC Priestwood as Adam Sharp
netted a brace for the home side. FC Priestwood managed to level
the scores as Connor scored both goals for them, but with time running
out Winkfield Sports stepped on the gas as Callum Whitty and Mark
Brown rounded off the scoring to win the match 4-2.
FC
Fernhill faced off against 10 man Bracknell Galaxy and came away
from the game with all 3 points and a 3-1 victory. Robert Musson,
Sam Whiting and Matt Lindstrom all netted for Fernhill, with Steve
Champion grabbing Galaxy’s solitary goal.
Royal
Oak started brightly as Mark Saunders netted a 30 yard free kick
after only 6 mins to take the lead against a depleted BMW side.
Jamie Osbourne added to the goal tally after 18 mins leaving BMW
with all the work to do. Rory McGill hit one back for BMW, but Andy
Wells sealed the points for the home side late on leaving the final
score at 3-1 to Royal Oak.
2nd
Division
3M
were leading their match against AC Woodcutters 3-2 with goals from
Richard Downes, Chris Majors and a Martin Earl penalty. This was
until about 60 minutes had passed and Woodcutters went on a rampage
to win the game 9-3. Edward Watts (2), Dean Werret, Sean Watson,
Jamie Ludbrook, James Coolas and man of the match Richard Docherty
grabbed a hat trick to account for the goals. This keeps their 100%
record going with 4 out of 4 wins and a top of the table placing.
Dukes
Head made short work of Woodley Hammers Res and left with a 3-0
victory with goals coming from Gary Porter, Steve Gibson and Grant
Pagdan.
The
Old Manor took the lead against Ashridge Park as Billy Golding lobbed
the keeper from range. For some reason, The Old Manor decided to
roll over and let Ashridge take control as Jon Austin, Rob Cavendish
and Adam Shoestick all netted twice each to win the game 6-1.
3rd
Division
Loddon
Valley Rangers just managed to fend off Finchamstead Ath Sun B as
a late penalty proved decisive for the home side. Steve Nicholls
(3) and Matthew Bradbrook netted for Loddon, with Ian Stephenson
grabbing a hat trick for Finch.
4th
Division
FC
Goose are still finding their feet in the 4th division and were
defeated this week 4-1 by Bracknell Rovers. Daniel Egger gave Goose
the lead going into the break, but the 2nd half proved costly for
them as Phil Regan (2), Pat Lucas and Oliver Lawring all netted
for Rovers to comfortably win the match at the whistle.
Berks
& Bucks Intermediate Cup – Round 1
Winkfield
travelled to Southside and although the match was a close affair,
it was the Reading side whom took victory with a 2-1 score line
after a contested referee decision led to the winning goal. Oliver
Knowles netted the solitary Winkfield goal.
William
Twigg Albion improved greatly on last weeks performance to see off
the advances of Emmer Green and advance to the 2nd round with a
4-2 victory. Josh Delander (3) and a 35 yard Gary Callaway goal
was enough to see off the opponents.
Wokingham
United managed to see off Bulmershe Old Boys as the Bracknell side
advance with a 3-2 victory with goals from Pat Selby (2) and Jamie
Currie. Bracknell Cavaliers Old Boys fielded an under strength side
and paid the penalty as they exit the cup with a 5-3 defeat.
Crowthorne
(the prince) moulded together well to see off the advances of Whitley
Tavern. With the score level at the break it was the Reading side
whom took the advantage during the 2nd half. Steve Morris managed
to level the scores leaving Dale Clark to net the winner in the
closing moments of the match. Goalkeeper Richard Bull and centre
mid Kevin Lee share the man of the match award for Crowthorne.
Bracknell
Manics also move on to round 2 as they managed to overcome some
strong pressure from Highfield Ibis and eventually leave with a
2-1 victory. With all of the goals coming in the last 20 minutes
it was Zac Dimitrovski whom netted a brace to seal to win for Manics.
Berks
& Bucks Junior Trophy – Round 1
Sygenta
travelled to 116 Exiles and twice levelled the scores before a mistake
led to the opposition winning the tie 3-2. Goals for Syngenta came
from John Taylor and Anthony Harris.
In
an all Bracknell tie, AFC Beechfleet faced up against Bracknell
Manics Res. Graham McDonald opened the scoring for Manics in the
1st half leaving Andy Sweet to reply for Beechfleet. Brian Judge
could have swayed the result in Manics favour, but unfortunately
missed a spot kick which took the game into extra time. During this
added period it was Beechfleet whom were awarded a spot kick and
Michael Dellar duly converted to earn a 2-1 victory for the home
side.
AFC
Farmer advance through to round 2 after opponents Real Reading were
reduced to 10 men early on in the game. This gave Gareth Evans the
space he needed to grab 2 goals and see off the opponents 2-1 at
the final whistle.
Atletico
Reading were dumped out of the cup by Swinley Res as an Andrew Nealan
goal was not enough to counter the 2-1 score line. Axfield also
wave goodbye to the cup as Plough (Reading) won the game 3-1. Mike
Yartel accounted for Axfield’s goal.
Calfridus
Wanderers cruise through to round 2 as opponents Bantam could not
keep the Bracknell side at bay. Tim Lynam (2), Dan Hobson and James
Batty all netted to give Wanderers a well deserved 4-0 victory.
The
Birch scraped together a side at the 11th hour and managed to take
a 2-1 lead to the break against opponents Pak Rangers (2009). Richard
Anscomb opened the scoring with an own goal accounting for the other
Birch strike. Pak Rangers levelled the scores mid way through the
2nd half, but an extra push on gave the home side momentum to net
twice more through Graham and Sam Jolley. Final score 4-2 to The
Birch.
Winkfield
Res made hard work off progressing to round 2 as BOTL (Bottom of
the League) hit back at their 2-0 lead and levelled the score before
time. No goals were netted during the extra period leaving Winkfield
to progress via penalties with a score of 4-2. Martin Pring and
Nick Mullet netted the goals for Winkfield during open play.
Bracknell
Badgers exit the competition as they were defeated 2-1 by Hobnob
with their only goal coming from Ray Merry.
FC
Muchachos dominated the 1st half of play against opponents Forest
View but could not take their chances in front of goal. This hampered
the home side and they wre duly punished for this with a 3-1 defeat.
FC
Rapids advance after seeing off Chalfont Park 5-3 with goals coming
from Mark Weldon (2), Jamie Barnfield (2) and Nilton.
Finchampstead
Athletic Sun A saw off the Reading branch of Loddon Valley Rangers
Res with a score line of 4-2. Dave Olney (2), Phil Hemmings and
an own goal accounted for the strikes for Finch.
Inter
managed to hold off Rides Utd Res as time closed up with the final
score ending 4-3 to Inter. Tommy Evans, Scott Ansell, David Bird
and Tom Hobbs all netted for Inter, with Jared Dickson, Matt Cole
and a Mark Smith penalty accounting for the Rides goals.
Queens
Head were kicked out of the cup by fellow Bracknell side Victoria
Arms with a score of 4-1. Ruben Kingland netted for Queens Head,
leaving Kwarme Appiah, Matt Elison, Matt Cook and Daniel Makenzie
to wrap up the victory for Victoria.
Warfield
Utd saw off RAS Rovers as Nick Shears, Richard Webb and Adam Bicknell
all netted in the 3-2 win. Warfield made hard work of the victory,
but plaudits go to man of the match John Gray.
Red
Star also proceed to the next round as they saw off Reeves Rangers
6-0.

side they marshalled this weekend praised their work during the
