Priestwood curbed Wokingham Utd’s chances of gaining points
on the league leaders as the home side comfortably won the game
4-1. Pat Selby netted for Wokingham, but Shane Levey (3) and Daniel
Wing eased Priestwood to all 3 points. Harry Levey took man of the
match for his out of position role as striker this week.
Bracknell
Royals could only field 10 men against Emmbrook Inn and suffered
the consequences as the home side went down 6-2 at the final whistle.
Zac Dimitrovski (3), Harry Scope, David Mills and Kevin Mills all
scored for Emmbrook.
Green
Man just edged the upper hand on Bracknell Manics as the home side
held on for a 5-4 win. Lewis Frostic (2), Chris Adams and Gary Sarney
all got on the score sheet for Manics in this end to end game.
League
leaders William Twigg are badly suffering with injuries and had
to call upon some reserve team players to fulfil the fixture against
Crowthorne (The Prince) this week. Having been very competitive,
the game was 0-0 going into the final 10 minutes of the match when
the Twigg further extended their league points total by netting
twice through Jack Davis and Gary Collins to give them a 2-0 win
and 1 hand on the premier trophy.

FC
Diligent scored 2 goals per half to see off Winkfield Sports 4-0
at full time. Bill Elgar (3) and Dave Jenkins scored in this comprehensive
win to see them challenge for the 1st division title.
Finchampstead
Ath Res stepped up to the plate and delivered all 3 points as they
saw off FC Priestwood 2-0. Matthew Whittle and Jamie Currie bagged
the goals for Finch.
Keltar
Old Boys were left to clean up the game against FC Wokingham as
during the run of play, Wokingham had 3 players sent off for varying
reasons. Keltar took full advantage and left the game with all 3
points in a 2-1 win with Chris Wyatt and Adam Withers netting the
goals for the home side. Stuart Napper scored the only goal for
FC Wokingham.
Sunninghill
Athletic were left standing as Woodley Hammers made an impressive
start when Ed Hill crossed for the Sunninghill defence to turn the
ball into their own net. This lead was extended when Neil Robinson
netted from close range. Sunninghill hit back with a strike from
Stefan Smith, but this was not enough to curb the away side as Sam
Cialis, Kevin Finlay and Neil Robinson added further goals to win
the game 5-1. Special mention goes to Woodley goalkeeper Lewis Ayre
for saving 2 spot kicks and potentially killing off Sunninghill’s
game.
The
Metropolitan were left feeling as though they could have done better
against 9 man Wokingham Wanderers as the home side just managed
to edge the victory 2-1. Wayne Carter and Nick Lovell scored for
Metropolitan with Tom Soane netting for Wanderers. Soane put the
pressure upon the home side as he came close to levelling the game
twice, but the goal eluded the visitors as the final whistle blew.
2nd
Division
3M
and The Old Manor contested a good game of football, but neither
team could break the deadlock with the result ending at 0-0. Both
teams agree this to be the fairest result during the game. Alex
Webber takes man of the match for The Old Manor.
AC
Woodcutters were cut down to size during their game with BMW as
the visitors left the game with all 3 points and a 3-1 win. Having
struggled to get going in the 1st half, BMW found themselves 1 down
at the break with it all to play for. The 2nd half was a quite different
affair as Rory McGill, Martin Smith and Chris Bernard all scored
to give BMW a good win after a dominating 2nd phase.
Ashridge
Park made short work of injury plagued Bracknell Galaxy by winning
the game 4-1. Jon Austin (2), Brian Millward and Dan Sharat netted
for the home side with Daniel Howard getting the consolation for
Galaxy.
FC
Fernhill lead the charge for the title as they saw off AFC Dukes
6-0 during a game which saw 2 Dukes players retire due to injury.
Sam Whiting (4), Ben Knight and Matt Lindstrom all netted for the
home side with Scott Whiting taking man of the match for Fernhill.
Prince
FC grabbed an all important win on the run in to the season close
as they saw off Dukes Head with a superb 2nd half performance. Dukes
took a 2-0 lead through a Mark Sugars brace and looked comfortable
until Bernie McDonagh netted a bullet header to cut the difference
before the interval. Kai Barkes, Shane Westall and a Lee Doyle volley
was enough to see off Dukes Head during the 2nd half as Prince won
the game 4-2.
Woodley
Hammers Res piled the misery onto Finchampstead Ath A as they won
the game 7-2. Although Dave Nicholson gave Finch the lead, Adam
Richardson (3), Pat Townsend, Mark Howell, Ian Sellers and Dan Osborn
were all on target for the home side before Nicholson could net
his 2nd for Finch.
3rd
Division
Bracknell
Manics Res created lots of chances against Cable & Wireless,
but could not finish them as the visitors left with all 3 points
in a 4-1 win. Ricardo Gilda netted for Manics in the 1st half to
go into the break at 1-1, but the 2nd half was one way traffic from
Cable as they secured the win.
FC
Muchachos de Bracknell were without a regular keeper and also felt
hard done by as opponents The Bridge left the game with a 3-0 win.
2 of these goals were adjudged by the home side to have been offside,
but both were left to stand as the visitors took full advantage
of the decisions made.
Finchampstead
Ath B found themselves in a battle with Syngenta and were on the
wrong end of a 5-3 score line. Matt Panton (4) and Ronan Malacan
netted for Syngenta, with Anthony Smith (2) and John Cole on target
for Finch.
Queens
Head took the lead against Winkfield Res as John Allen netted for
the home side, only for the score to be level shortly after by a
screaming left foot volley by Martin Pring. Queens Head re-took
the lead as Neil Bridges capitalised on a good through ball, but
again celebrations were cut short as Adam Chance latched onto a
Nick Mullet cross to restore order at 2-2. Winkfield then took their
chance as they were awarded a penalty late in the game, which Mark
Campbell scored to win the game 3-2.
Lacklustre
Inter found themselves under the cosh from a strong Royal Oak side
as they strolled to a 7-0 victory. Goals came from Nick Bright (2),
Richard Massingham, Andy Wells, Tom Hobbs and an own goal, with
more chances going begging for Royal Oak.
Victoria
Arms gave their all to fight against league leaders Keephatch Park
and were rewarded as they took the lead during the 1st half. Keephatch
fought back and continue their 100% record with 2 goals coming from
Phil Tiernan and Dan Merritt, the winner coming in the final 2 mins.

AFC
Beechfleet were seen off by Rides United Res as Rob Jackson and
Luke Openshaw grabbed goals either side of the half to win the game
2-1. Michael Dellar grabbed the consolation for Beechfleet late
in the game.
Atletico
Reading lost the game against Bagshot Road Res 3-1 having missed
a spot kick when the scores were level. Andrew Crawford netted the
solitary goal for Atletico with Ricky Lee, Sam Williams and Josh
Flynn all on target for Bagshot. Steve Major gets man of the match
for his penalty save.
Axfield
were unlucky not to take anything from their game against Loddon
Valley Rangers as the home side were adjudged to have given away
a penalty in the final 2 minutes of play to lose the fixture 2-1.
Matthew Bradbrook gave Loddon the lead, with Rob Ellis netting the
equaliser for Axfield. Duncan Cantwell was handed the ball to convert
the spot kick to give Loddon the victory.
FC
A1 Group continue to dominate the division as they saw off Red Star
5-1. 4 goals came from Adam Cornell with the 5th being an own goal
from Red Star.
The
Birch had to come from behind twice to see off the advances of Bracknell
Badgers and eventually run our 8-4 winners. Michael Lodge gave Badgers
the lead early on, leaving Simon Edward to restore order for the
Birch at 1-1. Lodge soon grabbed his 2nd of the game following a
defensive error leaving the Birch to again level the scores, this
time through Jamie Austin, taking the score to 2-2 at the break.
The Birch soon took control in the 2nd half as they strolled into
a 5-2 lead with goals from Jamie Austin, Tim Davies and a Ben Marsh
scuffed penalty. Badgers were reduced to 10 men after the penalty
decision and had nothing to lose, so pressed the Birch back line
forcing errors to take the score to 5-4 as Stuart Gillet and Ben
Howkins netted from close range. Steadying the ship, The Birch then
extended their lead to 8-4 as Simon Edwards 2nd and 2 more from
Jamie Austin was enough to secure all 3 points.
AFC
Farmer put in a good 1st half performance against Warfield Utd but
could not follow this up in the 2nd half when they conceded the
killer blows. Farmer had 2 good early chances, but this was shut
out by keeper Daniel Edwards. James Tickner gave Warfield the lead
in the 1st half, before James Prince and man of the match Mark Henderson
(2) rounded off the scoring, giving Warfield a 4-0 victory. The
score could have been higher had the 2 ‘offside’ goals
been aloud to stand.
Bracknell
Sunday Football League Senior Cup – Semi Final
Winkfield
ended Finchampstead Ath chances of reaching a final as the home
side took their opportunities to win the game 2-0. It what was a
very keenly contested cup game, Winkfield took the upper hand as
Sam Handley netted to give a much deserved lead. Having not troubled
the home keeper, Finch soon found themselves 2-0 down with little
time to play as Handley grabbed his second of the game to send Winkfield
through to the final to meet either Bagshot Road or Bracknell Manics.
