Bracknell Town & District Sunday Football League
Match reports for all divisions & cup matches on 14th December 08

Premier Division

Emmbrook Inn dominated from the start to demolish Bracknell Royals in a very one sided affair. The tough conditions made all games played today very difficult, but this did not stop the Emmbrook attack from going to town. Alec Colman led from the off by netting 4 goals with Zac Dimitrovski (3), Luke Lee (2) and Harry Scope all scoring in this 10-2 triumph for the home side.

1st Division

FC Priestwood and Keltar Old Boys shared the spoils in this match today as both teams netted twice to share the points at the final whistle. Nick Bagshaw and a Keltar own goal accounted for Priestwoods tally, whilst Sam Grimwood and Stuart Claxon replied for Keltar.

2nd Division

Dukes Head controlled most of the game in their match against Finchampstead Athletic Sunday A as they proved comfortable winners with a score of 4-0. Chris Birch (2), Danny McCloud and John Wright all scoring for Dukes Head. Finch could have pulled one back as they were awarded a penalty as a Dukes Head defender picked the ball up inside the box to alert the ref to a Finch player injury, however, in the rare sporting moments of the game Finch passed the spot kick back to the keeper by way of thanks. Dukes Head would like to congratulate Finchampstead on their sportsmanship during play

The Old Manor were treated to their first loss in ten games as 3M overcame the early pressure from the Old Manor attack. Steve Sugget opened the scoring for 3M as his freekick sailed into the back of the net unchallenged by attacker or defender just prior to the interval. The Old Manor pulled the goal back as Billy Golding capitalised upon a goalkeeping error to comfortably slot home from close range. 3M kept working and although they hit the upright and the bar, they eventually found the net for the 2nd time as Chris Stark headed home from a neat corner ball. The Old Manor kept up pressure to attempt a comeback, but the game ended with 3M winning 2-1.

3rd Division

Inter got back to winning ways as they overcame FC Muchachos de Bracknell with a 7-1 score line. Rick Shaw, Matthew Harrington, Wayne Sandy (2) and Scott Ansell (3) all found the net for Inter in this strong performance. Neil Long did manage to reply for Muchachos, but this was too little too late for the visitors.

4th Division

Bracknell Badgers and AFC Farmer fought through the conditions to earn a point a piece with a goalless draw.

Red Star pile the xmas misery onto Axfield as they condemned the home side to the foot of the table with no points thanks to a 2-0 win. Christof Blu and Daniel Slaters earning Red Star the victory.

Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup 3rd Round

William Twigg Albion waltz into round 4 with a convincing 5-1 win over Microblast United of Reading. This now sets up a 4th round home tie against Whitley Tavern for the right of passage to the quarter finals.

Berks & Bucks Junior Cup 3rd Round

In an all Bracknell team clash, FC Fernhill played host to FC Diligent and it was the visitors whom left with the ticket to round 4. Diligent took the lead just before the interval to ease the pressure going into the 2nd half. Diligent them piled on the misery as they netted twice more before Fernhill could get off the mark with a Ben Knight goal. Diligent did then travel to the opposing goal and restore the 3 goal advantage which is where it stayed as the game finished 4-1.

Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy 3rd Round

4th division FC A1 Group fought off Keephatch Park from the 3rd to progress to round 4. The all Bracknell tie was taken by the scruff of the neck by FC A1 Group as they won the game 4-1 with goals from Adam Cornell (3) and Steve Bland.

Also through to round 4 is AFC Beechfleet whom travelled to Leadcraft Tilehurst and came away with a 3-1 victory. Paul Dellar, Liam Sherry and Johnny Clifford scored the goals to see Beechfleet through. Lets hope that these 2 winners can avoid each other in the next round draw of the cup.
