Division
William Twigg extend their points total as they overcame a battling
Bracknell Manics team 4-3. Twigg went 4-1 up through Gary Sergeant
(2), Luke Carswell and Mick Havermans and should have extended their
lead even further as chances were squandered. Manics didn’t
give up though and Gary Farmer(2) and Chris Hollis scored to set
up an enthrawling final 10 minutes. Manics could not find the net
for the equaliser though, leaving Twigg to take all 3 points to
cement their challenge for the title this season.
Winkfield
played some good flowing football to overcome Bagshot Road 6-0.
Marcus Stratford (2), Phil Boddy, Lewis Wright, Brad Clark and Oliver
Knowles all netted to see off any attempts that Bagshot had in the
game.
1st
Division
FC
Priestwood had it all to do as they found themselves 4-0 down heading
towards the interval as opponents Woodley Hammers had a grip on
the game. Sam Cialis, Rob Timbers (2) and Neil Robinson all found
the net to take the game to Priestwood. Alex Eastman gave Priestwood
hope as he netted before the break to raise a few much dampened
spirits. Into the 2nd half and Eastman grabbed a further 2 goals
completing his hat trick to take the game to Woodley. Time was not
on their side though as the final whistle blew leaving the final
score 4-3 to Woodley.
Rides
United enjoyed the day as they were comprehensive winners over Wokingham
Wanderers with a score line of 6-0. David Morgan, Kelvin Ratcliffe,
Ashley Partridge, Rob Jackson (2) and Lee Partridge all netted for
Rides. If not for the efforts of goalkeeper Nick Harding in the
Wokingham net, the score could have been a lot higher.
Sandhurst
Social were undone by some neat play from Finchamstead Ath Sun Res
as they visitors left the game with all 3 points and a 3-2 win.
Ian Rose (2) and Alan Willcocks grabbed the all important goals
for Finch.
The
Metropolitan led from the off and made use of a poor showing from
opponents Winkfield Sports. The Metropolitan took the game 3-0 thanks
to goals from Neil Hangar (2) and Carl Marango.
2nd
Division
Ashridge
Park played host to the Prince today and the game was end to end.
Jon Austin and James Clubbley netted for Ashridge, with Bernie McDonagh
(2) levelling the scores, giving Prince their 1st point of the season
in a 2-2 draw.
Bracknell
Galaxy found themselves under the hammer as BMW took control from
early on in their match today. Paul Sharman and Rory McGill (2)
shot BMW into a 3-0 lead leaving Galaxy with all the work to do.
Daniel Howard did manage to find the net for the home side but the
damage had already been done as the score ended 3-1.
The
Old Manor make it back to back wins as this week they saw off AC
Woodcutters 2-0. Rick Smith and man of the match Billy Golding put
the Manor 2-0 up before the break as they controlled possession
throughout the 1st half. Woodcutters came back into the game a little
in the 2nd half but could not break down the defensive line of the
Manor to make any inroads. These 2 teams meet again in a reverse
fixture next week and both sides will be hoping for more from their
players.
3rd
Division
The
Bridge took the game to Cable & Wireless today and took advantage
of the conditions to overcome the visitors 3-0. Jamie Tucker (2)
and Tom Conway accounted for the goals as Cable were washed out
in this fixture.
Keephatch
Park faced up against 10 man FC Muchachos de Bracknell and found
themselves up against it. It took Keephatch 30 mins to break down
the back line of Muchachos for Liam Davies to net the opener before
the break. Matt Cheale and Adam Lawson netted late in the 2nd half
to notch the score to 3-0 which is where it stayed.
Winkfield
Res outscored Victoria Arms as the home side eventually came away
with a 6-4 win. Mark Campbell (2), Chris Hill, Kevin Delaney, Stuart
Predergast and a spectacular 18yard volley from centre back Paul
Cooper accounted for the Winkfield goals, with Elliot Wakeford (2),
Kwarme Appiah and Steven Wheels replying for Victoria.
Inter
were blown away by Royal Oak FC (formerly Leaders) as the visitors
rallied round to put in a good team performance. Mark Saunders,
Andy Wells, Robert Wilcock and Tom Hobbs (2) netted for the Oak,
but the score could have been higher if not for some woeful finishing.
Oak keep yet another clean sheet to further improve their goal difference
on the table.
4th
Division
AFC
Farmer felt they were the better side against Warfield United, but
could not find the net enough when the chances prevailed. Gareth
Evans slotted in a penalty for Farmer, with Nick Shears (2) and
Jack Tickner netting for Warfield to give the visitors a 3-1 win.
Axfield
prop up the bottom of the table as they were outdone by fellow battlers
Atletico Reading 6-1. Atletico pick up their 1st points today as
Jason Wilkins (2), Jamie France (2), Mark Sturgess and Toby Merrit
all hit the target. Axfield had 1 bright point in the match when
Corey Smith netted a 35 yard free kick, but this couldn’t
lift the spirits enough for the home side.
FC
A1 Group head tot the top of the table making it 6 wins from 6 as
they saw off Rides United Res 3-1. Stuart Blackman, Alex Carey and
Paul Hicks doing the damage for the home side.
Red
Star go down 3-2 to Bracknell Badgers as the visitors look to head
up the table. Ian Wright and Peter socolovski netted for Red Star,
but could not overcopme the goals from Michael Keen and Jamie O
Donnel from the Badgers.
Junior
League Cup 2nd Round
Syngenta
could not get at Bracknell Manics Res as the visitors tried out
a new formation and made it work for them. Graham McDonald netted
twice for the Manics as they made use of the wide men to overcome
the Syngenta back line. Into the 2nd half and Syngenta adapted to
the changes and held firm for the 45 mins but could not penetrate
the Manics goal, leaving a final score of 2-0 to Manics.
Division
4 Bagshot Road Res gain passage to round 3 after seeing off division
2 AFC Dukes in the closing minutes of the match. AFC led for the
majority of the match as Ricky Keeley and Andy Fraser netted for
them, with other chances being squandered. Trailing 3-2 in the final
10 minutes, Bagshot went hell for leather and netted twice to win
the fixture 4-3 with goals from Chris Willis, Dave Simmons and Sam
Williams (2).
