Premier
Division
Athletico Priestwood are struggling for form as they went down 3-0
to Finchampstead Athletic 3-0. New signing Kalin Krumov opened the
scoring with Harry Swabey and James Campbell netting the other goals
for the visitors.
Bracknell
Royals could do nothing to stop the rampant Crowthorne (the prince)
from smashing them 12-1. With players returning to the team from
injury, Crowthorne were always on top and controlled the match throughout.
Dale Clark (6), Paul Graham (2), Stuart Kent (2) and Daniel Phillips
(2) all netted for the visitors on this occasion.
Emmbrook
Inn are still struggling to field a full team as they were yet again
forced to play an outfield player between the sticks as their keeper
is out injured. William Twigg made full use of this and went on
to win the game 10-4 putting pressure on Emmbrook from the off.
Scott Williams (2), Danny Oliphant, Luke Carswell, Gary Sergeant
(3), Joel Havermans and Micky Havermans (2) were all on target for
Twigg, with Paul Tubb, Scott (2) and an OG accounting for the Emmbrook
tally.
Green
Man and Wokingham United battled well in their match as the conditions
were tough. Nick Matthews and James Rodgers scored for Green Man,
but they could not stop the advances of Pat Selby whom scored 5
goals to give Wokingham United the 3points in a 5-3 win. Wokingham
profited greatly in the final 10 minutes when the Green Man heads
dropped, allowing Selby to score the all important winning goals.
1st
Division
Keltar
Old Boys saw off Sandhurst Social by the odd goal as they outstruck
their opponents 4-3. Andy Withers, Martin Bickley, Rob Candish and
Chris White scoring for the home side.
Sunninghill
Athletic and FC Priestwood shared the spoils as 8 goals were scored
in this match, with the score ending 4-4. FC Priestwood led from
the off leaving Sunninghill to play catch up, which is exactly what
they did as 2 late goals saw the scores level out before the final
whistle. Alex Eastman and Ryan Webb both scored braces for Priestwood,
with Tony May, Adam Knibbs and Marvin Knight (2) replying for Sunninghill.
Winkfield
Sports and Rides United shared a goalfest, with Winkfield coming
out on top 7-5. With Rides leading 4-3 at the break Winkfield had
it all to play for, and that they did with Mark Brown, Lloyd Twyman
and Adam Sharp (5) all netting the goals. Sharp could have had a
double hat trick had his penalty not have been saved. Ashley Partridge
also scored 5 goals today for Rides, but this in the end was not
enough to take any points from Winkfield.
Woodley
Hammers came under the cosh for a lot of the game against The Metropolitan,
but still came away with all 3 points in a 3-1 win. Sam Cialis put
Woodley ahead with their ‘wonder’ goal from 30 yards,
having come off the crossbar and crossing the line. Jason Day levelled
the scores for the Metropolitan before the break. Against the run
of play, Woodley netted twice more through Sam Cialis and Neal Robinson
to take all 3 points at the final whistle.
3rd
Division
Leaders
continue their good run of form by seeing off the home side Finchampstead
Athletic Sunday B. In what was a very one sided game the visitors
took advantage within 5 minutes to put Finch under the cosh early
on. Rob Wilcock (4), Tom Hobbs and Andy Wells helped Leaders on
their way to a 6-0 victory, which could have been more if not for
some poor finishing.
4th
Division
Loddon
Valley Rangers overcame opponents The Birch as the home side went
on to win the fixture 5-3. Duncan Cantwell was instrumental in assisting
Loddon to the victory as he scored 4 of their goals, 2 of which
were penalties, with Matthew Bradbrook netting the 5th. Having taken
a 2-0 lead to the interval, Loddon soon found themselves 5-0 up
in the 2nd half, capitalising on mistakes from the Birch. With 25
minutes remaining, The Birch at this point for some reason decided
to start playing and had several attempts on goal. Simon Edwards,
Tim Davies and a last gasp attempt from Charlie Turner after his
missed penalty accounted for the Birch goals but no further strikes
could be finished and the points went the way of Loddon Valley.
Junior
League Cup 2nd Round
Keephatch
Park saw off Victoria Arms 5-2 to progress into round 3 of the cup.
Davey (3), Phil Tiernan and Adam Lawson accounted for the Keephatch
goals, with Elliot Wakeford netting both for Victoria.
Cable
& Wireless reached the 3rd round of the junior league cup with
a hard-fought victory over division two strugglers Prince FC. Cable
were eventually rewarded for their good attacking play towards the
end
of the first half, when Craig Murphy rifled a penalty into the roof
of the net. It was Murphy again who slotted home from the spot after
Alex Croxford was brought down in the area ten minutes into the
second
half. Cable continued to create chances, with the again impressive
Mike Darby forcing Prince into making some superb goal-line clearances.
Final score, Cable & Wireless 2, Prince FC 0.
Axfield
found themselves on the wrong side of an 11-0 scoreline as The Old
Manor went to town and demolished the home side. Billy Golding,
Paul Brady and Steven Boyd were all contesting for top scorer as
they all rifled in hat tricks with Alex Webber not far behind netting
twice.
Queens
Head advance through after knocking out 4th division Bracknell Badgers
with a score of 5-2. Badgers took the lead through Stuart Gillet,
but were pressured into an equaliser direct from a corner by Kieron
Painter on the stroke of half time. Into the 2nd half and Painter
grabbed his 2nd with Dave Pye, Carl Ellaway and John Allen also
finding the net to see off the Badgers 2nd strike from Gillet.
FC
Muchachos de Bracknell battled hard today and were unlucky not to
get anything from the game having a penalty waved away against Warfield
Utd. Warfield stuck well and Alex Mellor (3), Richie Cohen and Nick
Shears all netted in the 5-1 victory.
AFC
Farmer were outplayed as the visitors and last years finalists Finchampstead
Ath Sun Res won the tie 8-1. Peter Edwards netted for Farmer, but
James Townsend (3), Kieron Best (2), Rob Dangerfield, Ian Rose and
Darren Wilcox saw the Finch side through to round 3.
Bracknell
Galaxy were outdone today as 4th division AFC Beechfleet ran away
3-1 winners in this tie. Craig Newell netted a 30 yard strike for
Galaxy, but Liam Sherry and Danny Clifford (2) replied for Beechfleet.
Beechfleet keeper Michael Dellar was also a big part in the game
as he kept Galaxy at bay with several fine saves during the match.
Rides
United Res also bow out of the cup as they were outdone by Winkfield
Res 3-1. Ricky Davis netted for Rides, with Kevin Delaney, Nick
Mullet and Ben Shaw all scoring for Winkfield.
BMW
played poorly but still managed to come away with a 2-0 win against
The Bridge during their game today. With the conditions making it
hard for both side, BMW capitalised as Rory McGill and Matt Ayres
netted to see the away side continue into round 3.
3M
came from behind 3 times, until they were finally seen off 4-3 by
AC Woodcutters. In what was an end to end game, Chris Bolt (3) and
Adrian Lewis netted for the Woodcutters, with Martin Earl (2) and
an OG accounting for the 3M goals.
FC
A1 Group saw off the advances of Atletico Reading as the home side
won the tie 3-0 with goals from Phil Ollive, Steve Bland and Adam
Cornell.
Inter
were outdone today as visitors Dukes Head won the game comfortably
6-0. Gary Porter, John Wright, Grant Pagdan, Stuart Hallaway (2)
and Danny McCloud all on target for Dukes.
William
Twigg Res exit the cup after Red Star saw off the home side 3-1.
Peter Socolovski scored either side of the half and Chris Low also
netted to account for the Red Star goals.
Cup
holders FC Fernhill progress through to round 2 after seeing off
Ashridge Park 2-1. Matt Lindstrom and Rob Musson netted the goals
for Fernhill, with Ben Pike scoring for Ashridge.
